Kevin Flynn

Owner/Partner

As a child, Kevin spent summers on Kiawah Island and thought to himself, “Someday I’ll build homes here.” A graduate of the University of Virginia’s Architecture School, his passion included design, the mechanics, and the materials integral to every project. With degree in hand, he became an apprentice and swiftly worked his way to project manager in a large Virginia based building firm. His quest for ever more knowledge led him to UC Berkeley for his Masters in Construction Management. Upon graduation, Flynn accepted positions in project management, cost estimating, and consulting that took him from Washington D.C. to Alaska and Los Angeles. In 2003 he teamed up with future partner, builder Robby Robinson. The results? A magnificent home, a satisfied client, and the birth of Epic Development.

H.C. "Robby" Robinson,

Owner/Partner

Robby Robinson grew up on the beaches of Sullivan’s Island with eight brothers and sisters. After graduating from cabinet school in 1979, he became a carpenter apprentice. In his quest to “do it better than anyone else,” he built his first house as a general contractor in 1983. For the next 25 years, Robby built hundreds of houses, from renovation projects to new construction, throughout the Charleston region. His love of nature has fostered his unique knowledge in reclaimed, natural and salvaged building materials. Robby is the leader on-site at every project and manages all subcontractors. He has been a Sullivan’s Island volunteer fireman for 35 years, is an avid fisherman, and father to two grown children. Robby lives on Goat Island where he arrives home by boat at the end of the day.
